Nicholson Construction, a subsidiary of Soletanche Bachy Soletanche Bachy in the United States, is building a large underground cut-off wall at Boone Dam (255 m long, 50 m deep), involving drilling into very hard rock. This project is the final major stage in the construction of a composite seepage barrier that is designed to stop internal erosion of the dam’s earthen embankment.
